♈ ♎ Lunar Nodes Square Pluto ♑ in Capricorn

There is a big T-square happening at the moment that is causing much upheaval and change in our world. The Lunar Nodes of the Moon and Pluto are in a great tension which I believe is creating breakthroughs for our collective culture. While Pluto in Capricorn is in the final stages of destroying old ideologies of power and authority, the south node in Libra is taking a hard look at the consequences of relationships as well as how we can work together. The north node in Aries is gearing up with some new independent moves, initiating action from individuals that bring hope and also outrage. The nodes of the moon activate emotional shifts from the past into our future.

All three of these signs are Cardinal, they are action oriented and want change. Cardinal signs are generating, direct, purposeful and initiating.

The fourth cardinal sign is Cancer, the crab, the symbol of our inner life and family. Cancer is the release point for all this tension building. This archetype loves to give and receive emotional warmth and support. Cancer cares about feelings.

If we truly believe we are 'ohana, a very Hawaiian value, and we have one another's back, then how do we behave? What are our priorities?

Another question we can ask ourselves is " How can we activate all parts of this cardinal cross to expand our capacity as a human being on this earth? " Libra fairness and diplomacy, peace and harmony, Aries inspired action and Capricorns ability to be mature and know we must wait for the long term outcome to reveal itself. Never forgetting our family values of deep care, compassion and understanding which the release point of Cancer reminds us to engage.

The fires on Maui, Hawai'i island and O'ahu continue and our world is changing. The release point of Cancer is an indicator of what is being asked of us during these very difficult times. Let's keep the focus on the families and one another. Let's keep creating atmospheres of emotional warmth and comfort. We can listen to feelings and create safe places for grief to be held with reverence. We can initiate action individually to provide the resources these families who are healing from the shock of loosing their loved ones, their homes and the 'aina. The buildings are gone but Lahaina remains. The outpouring of love from around the world is bringing us together in so many powerful ways. To those families who have yet to find their loved ones, over 1000 missing peoples, we acknowledge your grief. We hold space for one another to speak of grief and witness it as a holy act of love.

Recently I was interviewed by Marni Suu Reynold's from The Golden Podcast about holding Grief and Gratitude. Now is the time we learn to do this as a living growing culture.

Today a plane landed from Hungary to Maui with 250 temporary housing unit from Continest USA. Teams of people are mobilizing in so many unique ways to bring solutions for our island 'ohana. It brings deep tears to many of us to see the suffering as well as the support. It is not yet enough, we all know this will be a long and painful process. We are seeing families in all stages of pain and joy, it is a mirror of our own humanity.

Lastly, my 10 week "Astrology as a Compassion Practice" Course begins on Sunday Sept. 10th. Discounts for those who want to repeat the course are being offered as well.
