Perhaps you are not quite feeling the new year yet. I am waiting on the Chinese New Year, the second new moon after winter solstice, also known as the Lunar new year.
The date falls in January this year, so soon we will leave the year of the dynamic Tiger and enter a less intense time. I am so ready!
With both Mars and Mercury in retrograde on January 1st, the forward momentum of the year was stalled. On January 12th, Mars in Gemini finally goes direct after being retrograde since Oct. 30th. Mars remains in Gemini until March 26th, where it has been since August 21st of 22, for a total of seven months! If you are finding it hard to make decisions or your mind and communication is feeling off, this and the Mercury retrograde in Capricorn are the forces that are
creating a strange start to the Gregorian calendar new year. Mercury goes direct on 1/18 and is out of the shadow on February 8th at 24 degrees Capricorn.
After 15 years of
Pluto's movement through earthy Capricorn, the planet of transformation enters Aquarius on March 24th, for a short visit until June 12th. It then retrogrades back into Capricorn for the remainder of the year. We get an 11 week taste of Pluto in this humanitarian air sign which will fully begin to actualize in 2024 through March of 2043, a total of 19 years!
