New Moon in Leo

This New Moon is about creativity and risk, play and children, love and romance, generosity, determination and tempering arrogance. Leo's need to be seen but at times are shy. How do you show up and let yourself shine?

Plant the seed of a new intention with any of these themes:

• having fun • care of the heart
• powerful individual expression • being center stage

• self confidence • intense love encounters

I am a leader and express my individuality in creative and fun ways. I have strength of purpose and am passionate about living from my heart. Risk is easy, play happens often. I let love in bigger and deeper than ever before. My path is directed by joy. I am recognized for the light that I am. I am generous and loyal, kind to others and others are kind to me. I am filled with a healthy self confidence. I attract healthy and loving relationships.

I highly encourage you to keep a New Moon journal with your intentions to look back upon throughout the year.

Mars is currently in its own fire sign of Aries squaring the serious council members Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in authoritative Capricorn. Mars typically stays in one sign for a month and a half. Mars will stay in Aries for 6 months due to a long retrograde which begins Sept. 9th through Nov. 13th. This is a very GO, then STOP, then GO thing! So when the STOP, presents, pause, breathe and trust you need more information before you can GO again. The heat of Mars squares serious Saturn on August 24th as the moody Moon in Scorpio opposes erratic Uranus in Taurus. Listen to your body and its needs for security and slowing down, make connections that matter. Mercury goes retrograde October 13 - November 3rd in Scorpio. On Election day Mercury is stationed direct at 25 degrees Libra bringing a state of "seeing through" to understand the mystery of life and death as described in the Dane Rudhyar's Sabian symbol book. Let's not hold our breath less we turn blue. We will get through this. Venus in Cancer needs nurturing, Neptune is Pisces says meditate. All this urgency can be overwhelming, we can stop, pause and be with ourselves in nature, in the quiet. If you are highly agitated, Mars or the Capricorn council is most likely aspecting your natal chart. Astrology readings can help identify what is being asked to shift.

I am enjoying my on-line time with students who are studying their charts and learning with and from one another during this stay at home time. My next 8 week online Zoom class begins on September 10th. We meet for two hours on a Thursday from Hawaii time 10am-12pm. Deepening your understanding of your chart is what Astrology as a Compassion Practice is all about! I also look at transits and new and full moon cycles for each student. Classes are small and personal.
